Our Social Cooperative Enterprise (SCE) named “traces” (“ίχνη” in Greek language) is a civil-law cooperative with a social purpose and limited liability for its members.

Traces offers demanding travelers various authentic itineraries, guided by our local field professionals, in order to discover the richness and diversity of Etoloakarnania.

Why Etoloakarnania?

Etoloakarnania is an area with authentic natural and anthropogenic environment, which:
 

  • is untouched by mass tourism and still has pristine landscapes,
  • has a cultural identity of recognized value (e.g. five ancient theaters nominated for the UNESCO’s World Heritage List),
  • disposes unique elements of intangible cultural heritage (e.g. Ai-Symios festival),
  • is rich in excellent edible raw materials (e.g. salt, roe),
  • is characterized by unique aquatic ecosystems, rich in biodiversity (two large rivers, five natural and four artificial lakes, lagoons, etc).
